Privacy on Elements

This page describes the data processed by elements.lumesec.ai. The controller is LumeSec Technologies GmbH (see the imprint), hello@lumesec.ai.

Browsing without an account

You can use every page and install every component without an account. We set no cookies and use no third-party analytics or advertising.

To learn which components are useful, the site counts events without identifying you. For each event we store:

• the type of event (page view, copied command, registry download, page feedback, search in the gallery),
• the page path and, where it applies, the component or search term,
• the host name of the referring site, not the full address,
• the country, when the hosting provider supplies it,
• a device class (desktop, mobile, tablet) derived from the user agent, which is not stored,
• the time.

We do not store IP addresses, user agents, cookies or any identifier that links two events to the same person. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no events are sent at all. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Page feedback

When you answer “Was this page helpful?”, we store the page, your answer and, if you write one, your note. Please do not put personal data in the note.

Accounts

If you register, we store your email address, your name and, if you enter one, your company for the account. You can change name and company on your account page.

There is no password. To activate the account and to sign in, we email you a link that is valid for 15 minutes and works once; we store a hash of it until it is used or expires. These emails are sent through an email delivery provider (Resend) when one is configured, which processes your email address and the message to deliver it.

A session cookie keeps you signed in; it is necessary for the account to work. Sessions store your browser's user agent and no IP address.

If you join the Elements Pro list, we store your email address to tell you when it opens. The legal basis is the contract you enter by creating an account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your request to join the list.

Hosting

The site is hosted by a hosting provider that processes server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and to protect the service. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used by us for statistics.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Write to hello@lumesec.ai. You can also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
